AYE Gallery is honored to launch “Flowing, Glistening“ Exhibition by artist Chi Qun. This is the second solo exhibition project Chi Qun collaborated with AYE Gallery since 2019.

Chi Qun’s works have profound philosophical and aesthetic connotations. In her works, she uses the combination of lines and dots to express the relationship between life and the universe as well as her personal understanding of life. New works still take lines as the main carrier, adding dotted broken lines to the existing horizontal and vertical lines. These broken lines are layered and interlaced, flowing and growing, to form a network of the universe. Originated from surgical marks, the broken lines transform the personal form of the body into the public form of aesthetics, representing a psychological journey from resistance to acceptance, and from physiological pain to a longing for happiness.

She was inspired by the experience of looking up at the stars and feeling that she was one with them, like the glistening dots in her works that make up the universe. Each indispensable dot points to the ideal space of the unity of feeling and form. The combination of these tiny structures not only relates to space-time and body, but also embodies the connection between life and society, hidden or revealed, through continuous growth and connection, forming a complex world. This series of works not only suggest a pursuit of life and art, but also a performance of harmony and resonance with the universe.

“Flowing, Glistening” will be displayed at AYE Gallery from 10: 00 am to 6: 00 pm every Tuesday to Sunday from April 16^th to June 16^th, 2023.
