You Jin’s works have distinctive features: high saturated colors, straight lines and dazzling visuals. In his early years learning visual communication, You preferred screaming bright colors and focused on visual effects. The vibrant colors and twisted lines in You’s works symbolize today’s multi-cultural life with new things emerging one after another. In creating the background, You used traditional Chinese elements. Still, instead of depicting specific plants, trees, doors, windows, tables and chairs, he turned to a more subtle and artistic landscape. The prospect was western and the background Chinese. His work concluded abstract geometric lines and illusory freehand landscapes tuned in harmony, showing his personal interpretation of eastern culture core under the expression of western modernism.
